hmmm...
If you cannot separate fact/reality from fantasy then a delusion is quite unproductive and dangerous.
Searching for truth or the fundamental truth of existence is not a delusion. In fact, that type of searching may make you a better person and be of benefit to others.
Peace.

The Defintion of delusion is false belief or opinion. So in my opinion there is no such thing as a happy delusion. The truth of existence lies in our God given purpose. So if you are searching for truth Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find ,knock and the door will be opened.

Sometimes looking for the truth of existence is very exhausting! It also can make you feel tiny & insignificant. Most of the time, it is just easier to live in a delusion, or at least a very narrowed reality

If the delusion threatens world peace and humanity itself, like Islam, then yes.
Otherwise, its hard to say. I believe we are better off as a species, to be rid of religion all together, but that includes qasi-religion like leftist idealogy...zealots just the same who believe in some ridiculous maxims or truths that have been long since disproven.

We all have delusions. I feel I'd be lying if I said that I didn't.

THOSE WHO SEEK ME SHALL FIND ME, KNOCK AND IT SHALL BE OPENED UNTO YOU. MY SHEEP KNOW MY VOICE AND THEY HEAR ME AND FOLLOW ME. SAY NOT THAT YOU HAVE CHOSEN ME, FOR I HAVE CHOSEN YOU. AND NO MAN SHALL SNATCH THEM FROM MY FATHER'S HANDS. THERE'S THE BOTTOM LINE!!!!!!!!!!!
