Your posture should be garnered from many many different information sources. Everyone has their own opinion, and justification of why it is right. Its up to you to figure out what you think rather than be told what to think.

You answered your inquiry in your question. "Illegal", that is the whole argument. We have laws and we have them for a reason. In California 30% of the prison population is non-citizens. In a 50 mile wide strip along the border with Mexico Emergency Rooms are closing faster than you can find another one due to non-payment of patients causing financial failure. One out of every Six hospitals open 10 years ago is closed for the same reason. Schools are overloaded especially in the South West. And, estimates place illegal population at as much as 30 million people. That means in a random group of ten people 1 is here illegally. Don't even think about the cost of all the multilingual books, pamphlets, posters and so forth. What I have listed is only the tip of the iceberg. I could literally go on for hours.

In my neighborhood it used to cost about $60 a month to have your front yard cut, trimmed etc. Now the rate is about $30. But if they damage your home they are uninsured, if a worker gets hurt there is no Workman's comp and the home owner will foot the bill. And the lawful businessmen are out of business because they played by the rules. The list goes on and on and on and on.

The bottom line goes right back to "Illegal". When you start with unlawful everything that follows is unlawful too.

Immigration is great. America was founded by immigrants who wiped away the native population through force, disease, and persistence. America fosters a kind of acceptance of diversity and we rely on it to sustain our development. Basically, if we shield ourselves from the outside world too much, it is a sign of our overconfidence and our unwillingness to accept change. Productivity will lessen as we will be lazy and static.

With immigration, we are constantly on our toes competing with immigrants from top-of-the line universities in other countries.

On to illegal immigration, of course its wrong, its not that fcking hard to get into the country anyway. It's like the guy who could get an A on a test from 5 minutes of studying, but instead spends 15 minutes setting up a way to cheat on the test. If we go out of our way to do it incorrectly we deserve to get screwed.

It's funny that you say "if you're not a racist" because pretty much everyone is prejudicial about race, its just a matter of how prejudicial we are. I'm probably just being picky.

Illegal immigrants are bad for our country. Billions of tax dollars are spent on the free education, medical care, and food that we provide for immigrants, therefore increasing our taxes and wasting money that should be spent paying off our billlliiooonnns of dollars of debt or improving our country. It would also be in the best interest of immigrants to come here legally, as they would get paid at least minimum wage (oppose to the illegal immigrants who come and get a buck and a half per hour for picking oranges 14 hours a day, seven days a week). Illegal immigrants make about $7000 a year.

And a lot of people hold the opinion that they take the jobs no one wants and therefore are important in running our country. This is true, because they are willing to do shitty work for practically nothing. If we eliminated illegal immigration and prosecuted those who hired illegal immigrants to get around paying them minimum wage, those shitty jobs could start paying minimum and draw citizens or LEGAL immigrants to do such work.

I'm not an illegal alien or a racist and I am against illegal immigration. I think there are limits on immigration to protect our schools and services, and I think the mass influx of illegal immigration has dramatically demonstrated how necessary those limits are. I just think they need to be enforced.

I'm neither an illegal alien nor a racist. But I believe that we should enforce our laws. Immigration AND tax laws. If people don't like the laws they should change them. I don't like paying income tax, but many people who employ illegals are cheating the government out of taxes (as are the illegals themselves). This is not fair. Coming here illegally is unfair to those who immigrated here legal. So it comes down to what is legally and what is fair.

People resort to name calling when they don't want to listen to logic - it's immature and uneducated.

Illegal immigration has nothing to do with racism.
Illegal immigration has nothing to do with racism.
Illegal immigration has nothing to do with racism.
Illegal immigration has nothing to do with racism.

How many times do we have to say it? Just because someone is against people sneaking into our country and destroying our financial infrastructure does not make them a racist.

Am I a racist because I think that drug dealers should be put in jail? Am I a racist because I think that bank robbers should be punished? Am I a racist because I think people should get speeding tickets when they speed?

Your only goal is to perserve the American heritage. However that is done is your own opinion.

I, for one, believe illegal immigration should be stopped IMMEDIATELY. A nation without an official language or borders is no longer a nation.
