No, Alt+F4 closes a window. Press the windows button and then L twice, don't hold any at the same time.

If you have a keyboard that has a sleep button near the top (usually on more expensive keyboards) then you can set it to .. log off your puter. In the control panel open up the Power Options Properties. Select the Advanced tab... Then choose what you want the sleep button to do. You can also change the power button on the computer from this box.
Note. Sleep button on the keyboard may have a quarter moon on it.
