I feel that it would be easier to confess to a stranger because their opinion of you doesn't matter. I'm a Catholic, and I don't like confessing because I know my priests.

alot of times an apology is required by the priest before the absolution takes effect but, besides that I confess face to face with a priest --I do feel a little funny but, I know that a special grace is granted to them to forget confessions. I have thought about confessing behind the curtain as it were but, I just thought that was pride not wanting people to know that I was a sinner and so I confess and if I'm embarrassed --oh well I did it to myself .

handsomeworshipper got pretty close. If you are seeking eternal forgiveness, you need only to confess your sin to the Lord. If you are seeking to be obedient to God, if you sin against someone, you should confess that sin to that person and then seek their forgiveness for that sin ONLY.

The only purpose, according to the Bible, to confess sin (in general) to man (or woman) is so that they can help you to be accountable, or in other words, help you avoid sinning the same way again. This practice is designed for 'besetting' sin, or sin that has become part of your lifestyle. This confession should not only be to a close friend, but someone who does not fall to the same sin.

A stranger definatly cause not only do they not know you or your past or history but the chances of you seeing that person is not likely. so they can't judge you look down on you and mock you for stuff you did.
But ultimatly you need to admit to your family depends if you did them wrong as a whole or indivuals. so um good .luck but Ultimately it's up to you and how you true feel better about yourself after doing the sin and who you gerenaly go too first.
if your a christian you need to ask God forgiveness he's hte one that it matters most.

The original intention was to share with those you are close with. You have to ensure that the person you share with has integrity and won't blab your sins all over town. Pray that God will show you that right person you could confide in. It would be ideal if you have someone who will also confess to you then you can pray together for each other and God will bless you.

For me, I would rather talk to someone I know about my sins rather than a stranger.

You can confess your sins right to the Lord Himself. When Jesus died on the cross, all our sins were placed on Him. We don't need any middle man to accomplish confessing our sins

This may seem odd I know, but someone I do not know.
But regardless who you talk to first, sooner or later, you'll have to confess and apologize to the one you did wrong.

First, why are you looking for "easy"? Strength is not found there...

Second, who is the only one who can forgive you?

1 John 1
9 If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Confess to your brothers and sisters in Christ (preferrably leadership) because they can relate with you, fellowship with you, encourage you and love on you.

Also, REPENT and confess your sins to Christ because it is HE who can forgive you.

Acts 8:22
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Peace to you and yours.

It's so much easier to talk to strangers because they don't know anyone else I know, so they won't run back to certain persons and 'accidentally' tell them something.
