A lot of the posts and so forth seem to validate this view . Americans see war death and suffering as if it were a footbal game.

The news you have the mentality that seems glorified is one of muderous blood thirsty tyrants who enjoy war .

It seems the Presidents go around the world hoping to get into a fight -

Some seemingly most in the US appear to want this - they see it as being tough - most others around the globe see it as the sign of a brute animal with no redeeming quality of human worth ...

So why is it it seems so many Americans appear to think and act in this barbaric animalistic fashion - Or is it just the few - the stupid the retarted or otherwise socially unaceptable that just happen to have to much of a voice in the media and so forth .

Or is this view of a rabid dog on the loose acurate of the majority of Americans ?

The majority of Americans do not think this way. I for one am American and a military spouse. I believe war is brutal. Many lives have been lost on both sides. Nobody wants to see there husband/wife, son/daughter go to war. We understand it is thier job to do so. It is a choice they made to fight for our country. Soldiers don't get to decide where they will fight or for what cause. It is not a game. It should not be taken as entertainment.
Why is it that America is the only country to blame? Aren't there other countries fighting in this war also? The ALLIED FORCES??

I hate war and feel we should not go into other countries unless asked to for humanity by the UN. We need to keep our troops home to protect and defend our country.

War is killing and destruction only. If you don't believe me ask my son who is an officer in the Army serving in Iraq right now. He is sick of it and wants to pull out. He says the people there do not want us there and do not appreciate it. So I don't care what all the Bush fans say (yes I am Rep) we need to get out asap we are not doing them any favors pushing freedom and democracy down their throats. We have lost way too many soldiers. Parents are crying and mourning for their losses. It not only affects them but it touches spouces, other familty members, friends, and communities. As we are approaching 3,000 soldiers gone we need to think about how we would feel if it was our son, daughter, mother, father, cousins. A loss is a loss. War is not fun and games. You can play was on the computer games all day everyday and it will never show you what war is like. Only people like my son can tell you. He spent this week delivering personal belongings for 8 of his soldiers to Bagdad for the transfer to the families of the dead. He was heart broken. We should all be heartbroken and we should all be trying to end this WAR.

Because many Americans have never seen war up close, and take their freedoms for granted. Not to mention we're fed so much violence in the form of entertainment I think the line between fiction and reality is hard to distinguish when were watching events on a screen. It almost seems as if the outside world doesnt even exist, and that this all is some sick charade constructed solely for our entertainment. I had this sort of view until I actually saw someone get killed, and the line between reality and fiction was snapped back in place.

If there was an american that wants to be at war, who enjoys news of how many US soldiers are dying every day or what attrocities are committed by soldiers who are overtaxed in the 5th Crusade, you'd think I would have met them as I live here. I'm sure there is some mentally disturbed american who is titilated by the war but the vast majority of Americans abhour it and want it to be over.

They don't see it as entertainment..

It is more an economic choice.
Allot of the people who made the decisions for Desert storm 1 are now the people in-charge of the companies that are supplying this war.

attempt to transform that copious detrimental potential you spend bobbing up your complaining rhetoric right into a favorable, professional-lively attitude that achieves your objectives. apart from, you need to knock that great ol' chip off your shoulder and desist imputing others on your inadequacies.

Wow. Where do you people get these ideas?

Hoping to get into a fight? September 11, 2001 was not the first attack by the terrorists on American interests. Do I need to list them all again?

Put down the Kool Aid. Don't drink it. It's poison!
