When you first put fluid into an automatic transmission, it will read full until you run it awhile and fluid goes to all parts and into the torque converter. Recheck the fluid level after it has had a chance to run and warm up a long while.

When you installed the torque convertor to the transmission did you fill the torque convertor? Also did you spin the convertor on til it locked into place? These are 2 things that MUST be done when reinstalling. Also check your shift linkage to make sure its on correctly. Worst case scenario you have a defective transmission could be a bad pump or clutches. Good luck!

Check and see if the driveshaft is turning, put it in 4x4 and see if it moves. Remove the transfer case and see if the out put shaft turns. Don't understand what you have done but it will have to be either tranny, transfercase, or rearend and or driveshaft.

Some transmissions are defective when you first install them - sorry. Has it been properly installed and was the correct fluid added?
