I am sick of being a baptist and want to follow a faith where i can wipe the old testemant out of my mind. and just believe the new testemant? i want to start a faith like that. the do's are worship, work for your money, you can agree with the darwinists (i f you want to), you can dance, sing (no rap, just oldies, late 60's, 70s, country, jazz, ballads, parodies), swear (not to excess), smoke (only once a year), drink (only once a year, unless it's juice, soda, or milk), pork is allowed (to all christians, isn't it?). the don'ts are every thing the ten commandments tell not to do, rap, heavy metal, you must stay a virgin (for at least 12 years after age 18.) i'm still working on this faith, if it is legal in the eyes of god.

Start telling a bunch of lies, put a bridge up for sale and throw the word "jesus" in the mix, and you have a cult to call your own

headcigar,
Then have faith. The Old Testament, you must understand. You obviously don't. But if the picture of a Baptist is condemning to you, follow after Christ. And it was Him who said:

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

They do testify of Him. If you want to get a better understanding of the Old Testament, and the Legalists that try to bring it against people, look at drgenescott.com

That's where I learned what those old laws really meant. It wasn't something meant for the church except to make people with a conscience to know that they are not perfect. They tell of those that could not keep it, "no, not one."

Understand this:
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

and this:
Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

what is the Law in the Old Testament then?
Galatians 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

So yes, get it out of your head, but the thing that is so condemning is what sent us after Christ in the first place. So that we can recieve the GRACE that was supplied by God through Jesus Christ.

This one is easy. Do what you want, wait a bit and sound it out with God in prayer. Listing sins that soneone can or can't do....they are all the same and all christians do them. Start a new denomination? Rent a store fron, get an original name for your church, get someone to declare you a pastor... no kidding, you don't have to go to school and you don't have to pay taxes.... and see who shows up. Just have faith in Jesus paying for all of your sin.

ok you are just another lunatic baptist. where do you get these crazy rules from? the ten commandments say nothing about any genre of music. and if you think drinking and smoking are bad, why is it ok once a year? and I think you are "supposed" to save yourself for marriage, not until "12 years after 18"....did you put this up to incite peoples anger? I guess you want to start a cult, so I figure all you need is a compound, a cool name, and a mesmerizing, charismatic personality that people will respond to and you are in business! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All denominations of Christianity, different than the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, are in accordance with one single element, the unbiblical thought of Sola Scriptura, or Scripture on my own. this thought enables pastors to throw out any verse, financial disaster, or perhaps finished e book that they disagree with. (for this reason why Protestants have not got the deutorocanonical books of their previous testomony.) It additionally enables them to cherry %. regardless of verses they like and base their finished teachings on that. they have no Sacred custom, purely guy-made ones, like altar calls and baptism of the ineffective. they have no Apostolic succession. they have no genuine coaching authority. they are based by making use of guy, wheras purely the Catholic Church replaced into based by making use of Christ. Ever hear of a non-denominational church? they are technically each and every commencing their very own denomination, using fact each and every is in accordance with a diverse, own interpretation of Scripture. So, you throw out Sacred custom, coaching authority, and Apostolic custom, and throw in some Sola Scriptura and different unbiblical suggestions, and voila, a sparkling Protestant denomination.

Once you go against what GOD says is righteous, it is no longer Christianity.

What you are trying to start, My Dear, is an occult.

Please reconsider--for your salvation's sake. Instead, be encouraged, spend more time with The Lord (meditation, devotion, prayer, fasting, praise, worship) to get a greater understanding. When you do, the things that you mentioned that you desire to do will be as unclean to you as they are to Him.

Peace and love to you.

first of you cant have the new testement without the old, Jesus said he came to fulfill the law, and when you read in john where Jesus said search the scriptures, in them you think you have eternal life, but these are they which testify of me. now when he said search the scriptures , he wasnt referring to the new testament because they were the one that are the teaching of his life. the old testement profises of him and the new tells of the fulfillment of the proficy

make up your own religion if you wish, but remember:

Matthew 7:13
[ The Narrow Way ] “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
