She has been living with me since Katrina. She has caused my wife to move out and anytime we get along she makes trouble. I believe that she is just evil. She is 80 years old and has nowhere to go. Any advice?

I know you love your mother, But how many times has your mom showed you "Tough Love"? well I hate to say it because I had to do it to a relative myself. It is not easy in no way, She will fight you all the way. She will even blame you for everything that goes wrong, Just remember, you have done nothing wrong. You have a family to care for , or whats left of it. Just keep reminding yourself this, You love your mom & you have to do whats best for her & you. She will be taking care of very well in a senior enviroment or nursing facility. Go get you family back. Good luck.

why dont u just sit with her and ask wat is her problem? If she's so that tough, maybe u have to play to get her charm. Moving ur mum out will just make u feel guilty. Such act should be abolished. Now why do u think many families are failing if many are not being loving to their mothers? She's ur flesh and blood. Watever u do, DONT move her out. That is so plain wrong! And get ur wife by in there and sort the problem together, and IF she's not supportive about it, then you're already looking at the problem. Sorry I have to be that blunt.

Senior housing. Sit down with her and tell her what she is doing is totally unacceptable. You understand that going through Katrina was a horrible experience, but you are done paying the price. Put your foot down, stand-up to her.

I would look into what Katrina relief can do to put her into housing. And call your wife when the coast is clear.
