i had that problem before.
be sure your gum has sugar in it, it cant any splenda, or other sweetener.
chew a piece of ice in with the gum and it will temporarily restore the flavor of the gum.

P.S.: for full affect...... keep chewing ice in with the gum to keep the effect :))
