Well if a man thinks his wife MIGHT be cheating on him...he can take her to the priest...she is then made to drink 'bitter' water (poison). If she lives...the she is innocent, but he can still divorce her if he choses. So she is shamed and worthless anyway. If she dies...then she was guilty and deserved it. Nice huh?

I also love the one about the man who went into a town and the men wanted to rape him...he made it inside and threw out his virgin servant girl. They abused her all night long. In the morning, the man put the girl on his donkey and took her home. Then he killed her, chopped her into pieces and sent them to all the tribes. Nice, huh?

Then there's the one about Moses asking Pharoah to let the Israelites go. Pharoah was willing to but GOD HARDENED HIS HEART...so that god could show his glory and punish the egyptians. God then proceded to rain down plague after plague...each time hardening pharoah's heart, until finally god killed all the first born in the land. Yes many of them were babies. So poor Pharoah had no choice or free will. God made him say no. Nice huh?

Then there's.....oh I could go on for days......read it a few times, the murder, gore, atrocities, genocide and absurdity will put Tarantino movies to shame. The bible in it's entirety nauseates me. For a real thrill read it in hebrew sometime. Also be sure to visit www.cygnus-study.com for a list of contradictions and errors in the bible.

interesting? it depends on what interests you...

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness...

...everything is permissible for me—but not everything is beneficial

...all have sinned...

...man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,...

you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

... in the last days there will come times of much trouble. People will love themselves and money. They will have pride and tell of all the things they have done. They will speak against God. Children and young people will not obey their parents. People will not be thankful and they will not be holy. They will not love each other. No one can get along with them. They will tell lies about others. They will not be able to keep from doing things they know they should not do. They will be wild and want to beat and hurt those who are good. They will not stay true to their friends. They will act without thinking. They will think too much of themselves. They will love fun instead of loving God. They will do things to make it look as if they are Christians

... for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. ...

Well, Queen Esther commanded the Jews to celebrate the feast of purim and that was because of the victory over Haman. God commanded the Jews to celebrate Passover, with the unleavened bread. Jesus commanded that no man should divorce his wife except int he case of marital unfaithfulness and that no one shoudl marry either person because it would be adultery. he also said to look at a person lustfyully would be te same as to commit adultery. He also was a big fan of children! Jesus associated with EVERYONE! sex rules, go and make disciples of all nations, spread god's love, pray, be kind to each other, forgive each other, turn the other cheek, love one another, be selfless, marital advice, job advice (not necessarily in the book of job), miracles, whether to be single, HOW to pray, how to raise kids, how to do your job, how to care for elderly parents. the bible is a manual for life. it's Gods way of communicating with YOU because he din't want you to be all alone with no way to know how to live. Sure he talks to you with other ways but he wanted you to have this. you can find out anything you want to know in here.

Two major places:

Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion... "
MORE THAN ONE GOD?SPOUSE?

Ezekiel 1:5-10Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance;they had the likeness of a man.
6 And every one had four faces , and every one had four wings.
7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot:and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
8 And they had the hands of man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
WHAT IS THIS?

What about the Lords prayer, that tells you to "Hallow" Gods name?
What is Gods name?
Check Psalms 83:18
Is that interesting?

I know more *interesting* gems, but as I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing you mean, I'll let you email if you want more.

Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Not realy a "What to do" but more "Who's doing what?"
