You shouldn't.

I think you are referring to the people and not the religion itself. True religions do not teach intolerance. Jesus befriended a lot of people that the religious of his time were intolerant too. So, it's those particular people you are talking about that are taking scripture out of context. I say show respect to others that you yourself expect, regardless of how they treat you. If they treat you with intolerance and you have tolerance for them, you are the better person.

The best way to earn respect is by giving tolerance when they give none. The church i am forced to be in claims I am evil in many ways- but you need to accept them for their incompetence and move on with it. They are no better than you and they don't have the right to treat you like they are supperior. They aren't. Just don't worry about it.

What should be respected is not the "religion" itself, but the "religious" feelings of people. . . . By showing respect to religions you show respect to your follow human beings, what you believe in, is totally up to you. You do not have to respect "religion" deep in your heart if you do not want to. Actually nobody can ask you to respect anything; you either respect or you do not. . . .

No one should respect any religion but his own and anyone who claims to respect all religions is either too dumb or a hypocrite.

You should respect fellow human beings but you dont sacrifice your faith in your Creator for another human being.

Go to the religion that says otherwise; if your repect is geared towards listening only to where you want to be. If you keep listening to those busy bodies you've been saying, then you really will go where they say you are heading to by hating them more.

like it depends,do you tell them to go away?
do they refuse and keep harassing you?
let me give you an example:
say a salesman knocks on my door(everybody hates salespeople)
you open your door
he pitches his sale
you say go away
he keeps talking
at this point you have every RIGHT to disrespect him!
just like Christians.
show them respect, only if they don't stop talking to you.
God Bless

Which one is that I wonder.
Always bear in mind as long as you repent your sins just before you die you should be all right for heaven Christianity wise.
Islam you probably need to convert right now and Judaeism is probably a bit to painful for an adut male to consider

Who says you're going to hell? Consider the source... unless it's God telling you; I wouldn't worry too much about it.
