my two favourites are:
frico: smashed potatoes and melted cheese mixed together to a point when they look like one single thing and taste great!!
gubana: a cake filled with a mix of raisins, almonds, nuts and other special things

Just a couple of examples from the extremely rich cucina Friulana:
