As far as most christian churches dogmas are concerned, no matter how exemplary a life you lead or how happy and well-adjusted, honest or generous you are, you will go to hell if you don't believe what they believe.

Nobody goes to hell because it doesn't exist, except here on Earth. God judges on your deeds, not what you believe in. Does that answer your question?
