It is a lot, if true, But I still wouldn't call it genocide. That's the systematic destruction of a people.

No, what you are seeing is New York and Chicago in the 1930s.
The percentage given in the same article is 2% more Iraqis died after the U.S. invasion and statistically would have died if nothing was done.
That's not that bad. After all a 6.0 earthquake in Iran could kill 100,000 people, but in U.S. could give a slight scare and little damage.
My favorite statistics. Whites killed 1/3 of the American Indians through disease. There are now more listed American Indians than would have lived just before Columbus arrived for the first time. I call them American Indians, because 80% of the tribes list themselves as American Indians and the federal government's representation is through the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Act 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide defines the term as: "...acts committed with the intent to destroy in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group as such". What we have is a very bloody Civil War, with neither side in a position of sufficient power to attempt actual Genocide. Didn't see the article you mention, would be interested in knowing the source for their figures.

No, just a religious war, against those that want freedom and peace, and those who believe in the "religion of peace", who will even kill fellow muslims so they can create a taliban style caliphate in the middle east.
its a shame the muslims like to use human shields and target civilians.
