I was diagnosed with OCD reguarding anorexia. They put me on Prozac to "fix" it. After that they did nothing to help me at all.
After about 6 months, I got extremely frustrated and stopped taking Prozac and went and talked to a psychiatrist. She helped me more than drugs. Now I see her once a month, am 100% off drugs and healthy.
I wish you the best of luck.
All I can say is unless your OCD is serious.. please really think about getting on Meds... ruined 1/2 a year for me!

Sure, it's all in your mind. You need to retrain your thought patterns so you stop doing what you're doing, which is basically a fear-based bad habit. Try hypnosis to re-program your thoughts. The more hypnosis is recognized by the medical establishment as a truly legitimate healing modality, the more OCD sufferers will benefit.

What are you compulsive about???? OCD is controllable, not curable. Medication and therapy will be your best bets. There are some wonderful medications out there, talk to your doctor. You can beat this by keeping OCD under control. Good luck!

I suffer from OCD for many years now.
No, there is no cure for OCD but it is manageable. You can get help from other people suffering from OCD, help from your doctor, therapy and medication.
Best wishes, take care.
