No. The only one who can reason with a terrorist is another terrorist from the same group. Terror is non-negotiable. The purpose of terror is to make the biggest mess while killing the most amount of people as the world looks on. It's like an organized day-care center with weapons. And all the kids are having a tantrum. They want attention and they are very persistent.
The way I see it: Kill or be killed. Get them before they get us.
And make it hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having had two friends go over there and come back, another friend that just went over there, and myself facing orders to go. I would like to see someone try to negotiate with these people. The terrorists that attack us do it out of hatred for others not like them. It's not just America, we have troops from the UK over there and they get treated the same way we do. These terrorist would rather kill you than look at you, and they will try. They are beyond the point of reasoning. If they weren't we wouldn't be over there now. In their minds the more soldiers they kill with them, the greater their reward will be in their afterlife. You cannot change the way they think because they are not receptive to anything else. We are at war because we were forced into it by a diliberate attack on us. They wanted a war and now they got it.

I have dealt with terrorists, by shooting straight and using my weapon the M-4/203 makes for a really good reasoning tool and believe me when i say this they understand, that's why they will not fight us because in every occasion they try too we kill them and when they do choose to fight they die we are wining despite what people hear or read or think life is hard in Iraq but from a soldiers point of view every fire fight ends with the bad guys loosing. No problem with the insurgents understanding

Terrorists do not think like the "average" person, they have their own mind, and way of thinking. Very few terrorists accomplish their goals successfully without being killed. They will never make any government change their way to accommodate them. Dealing with terrorists its eternal war.

if you fight fire with fire all you get is a bigger fire. violence should be the absolute last resort, there is a very old saying that quotes ,they who live by the sword shall so perish by the sword.
thats not to say we should not fight back. LF

A big NO. These terrorists are religious fanatics. Their reasoning is blinded by fanatism. They have only one goal that is to kill innocent civilians or infidels and they are willing to be killed while doing so.

Thank God another intelligent American out there, I was beginning
to think , they didn't exist anymore. You are correct in your statement, common sense tells you,its not possible to reason,
with a Terrorist. Thank God President Bush, understands this.
If the Liberals only did too.We wouldn't have to fight the Terrorist
while the Liberals attack our efforts.

Absolutely not.
I find it funny that human rights activists are lobbying for Gitmo prisoners. These same prisoners would just as soon kill these American infidel activists in the name of jihad.
