You can use makeup with a green tint under your foundation (green neutralizes red) for the short term and to get rid of the acne -- take a zinc supplement, wash with salicylic acid, don't use microdermabrasion.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I have found that if you cut a lemon in halve and rub it on the areas it will dry up the acne. For the redness you have to kill the germs. You can also do this by wiping the area with either rubbing alcohol, astringent, witch hazel, or benzol perixide. The witch hazel works great.
First the witch hazel and then the lemon. Do it at least twice a day. It will work wonders.

I use Oxi-10 face wash, not those horrible stinging alcohol wipes, but it's a face wash and it works so good! I hardly get any blemishes at all, but if I stop using it they start coming back, so I figure it works pretty good. My friend used that pro-active crap and it didn't do anything for her either, except leave her out a couple hundred bucks. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

When you say "redness on forehead or nose" that makes me think rosacea, which really gets worse the more products you use, and the harsher they are. Just use a mild bar soap like Dove to wash once per day--like before bed--and then a mild, oil-free moisturizer--Purpose makes one--after you wash. The Purpose one has a bit of sunscreen in it, too, which is also really important. The sun only makes rosacea worse.

Not using anything thats overly harsh on your skin. I had acne all my teenage life. And in the end i found the best for redness and just condition of my skin was to use cetaphil or spectro gel. there mild so they dont irritate your skin or make them red. And lots of water

I also didn't have much luck with pro-active, I use Noxzema now, and it works really well, how bad is your acne though? Mine was very mild, anyway see your doctor or dermatologist

Panoxyl works really good. You can find the bar and acne gel at your local convenience store. Remember to moisturize generously. Do you use alcohol or toner on your face, use witch hazel instead (it is much milder).

OMG-just drink water and you won't have this problem. Stop with the greasy foods and no more pop. In 2 weeks all of your skin problems will be gone and it may also lose weight.
