Wow there are some really misinformed people on here.

Let me address your question first. He / she will do several drive bys before they make door contact. When they are doing drive by's they are taking notes to send to the finance company, what does the house look like, what other units are sitting around the house what are the tag numbers to those units, next drive by, what are the changes. When the finance company decides that you are hiding the unit they will then have the field agent (repo person) go to the door and demand the unit. This also goes on the field report. Lets say he goes to your door and you get hateful and lie and say it has been stolen, you do not know where it is, etc. That report goes right back to the finance company. At that time it becomes judgment day. Do they keep sending the adjuster to your door? Do they send a spotter out or do they turn it over to their attorney for prosecution. In every state it is either a class c or d or class 3 or 4 felony. Withholding property from its rightful owner, and yes they do get the car then you get arrested. The Sheriff just doesn't pop up at your door and say give me the unit, it is a civil matter until they field adjuster deems it that you are withholding / hiding the unit, then if the finance company wants to go legal on you, they will. As I said, they will have the unit and you will have the time. How much time? I have seen people get 90 days and 3 years probation, I have seen people get 5 years across the board. It depends on the KBB value of the unit and what the DA sees in the field report that they will have from the finance company.

Field Agents don't care if they get your unit tonight or in 2 months, the market is good and 1 unit will not make or break them. My average field adjuster is sitting on 80 accounts at any given time with a 99.2% recovery rate company wide.

If I were you I would go out and clean my unit out because when it gets picked up and it will be, the repo company will charge you anyplace from 25.00 to 300.00 or more to reclaim your stuff, this is called an administrative fee. The harder you are to work with the higher the fee.

Don't let it go that far. Call your finance company and explain to them that you can not pay today, but if you could have however many days it will take you to make your payment you will make it on that day, if you have not been picked up before and if you have had a decent on time payment record with them, they should work with you. Tell them you want the account "Put on hold" use those exact words that will insure that the repo company gets a notice that states your unit is on hold and they wont bother it or you, be sure to get this order in writing as well.

I do not know who the finance company is, but be warned some finance companies will tell you "Send us 400.00 ( that will cover the repo fee) and that will be enough till the 21st" or what ever date they set up with you wire them the 400.00 and they send out the order to repo. There are some really dirty finance companies out there. I have seen them have people send in 2 or 3 thousand dollars then have us snatch the unit that night, because it was not paid up to date and until it is, you are in danger, unless you come to an agreement and get it in writing. Have them fax you the resend on it.

It will be a lot cheaper to do it that way than to let them get it. When, not if they get it and they do not take it right to the auction you are going to have a repo fee to pay, again depending on the contract they have with the repo company that fee could be from 300.00 to 700.00. Then you will have the storage fee. Some repo - finance companies agree to hold a unit for up to 15 days with no fee, others start charging you lot fees up to 50.00 a day, starting the minute the unit hits the impound lot. If you get repo'd and they let you have your unit back you need to ask them if you can add the repo and lot fee on to the loan. That way you will not have to come up with the funds to bring the loan current, the repo fee and the lot fee.

If there is no way to work it out, clean it out and call the finance company and tell them to come and get it. A volunteer repo. Looks a world better on a credit report than a repo. People give their cars up for a bunch of reasons, it was a lemon, couldn't afford it, divorce, etc. But a straight repo happens for 1 reason and 1 reason only, and then if they go legal on you that can cost you more than the price of the car when it was new.

Since they have the repo company after you the term Cash or Keys may no longer hold true. Stop avoiding them and call them in the morning. They can not pull you through the phone. If you are and I suspect you are having trouble with the representative at the finance company, get a supervisor on the phone and try to work things out with that person. They will try to pull your chain, that's what these people live to do, but no matter how hateful they get, kill them with kindness.

Most of all do not breach the peace. Someone said to have friends and family there to take photos, that can be considered a threat to the Field Adjuster and lead to a call to the police for breaching the peace. These guys are professionals and if there is any damage to a unit, that is the companies fault, they will repair it as you are not the customer, they do not care if you are happy or not, the finance company is the customer and any damage is filled out and photographed with a time stamp at the time of repo. At the most the bumper may get pinched from the pick up depending on what kind of unit they are using to pick it up with.

How To Stop A Repo

It depends on the state where you live as some states regulate repo peoples attempts to get a vehicle and some don't but if a repo person wants your vehicle and can't get it easily then they may have the option to have a sheriff serve you with a court summons and have a judge order you to turn the vehicle over to the repo person and if you refuse the judge can find you in contempt of court and order you jailed or fined until you agree to turn the vehicle over. MY ADVICE TO YOU TO AVOID ANY HEADACHES IS TO CONTACT THE REPO PERSON AND ARRANGE FOR THEM TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE AT YOUR HOUSE AND BE WAITING FOR THEM WITH A FRIEND OR A FAMILY MEMBER TO VERIFY AND PHOTOGRAPH THE CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE WHEN THE REPO PERSON TAKES IT,THAT IS SO IF ANY DAMAGE HAPPENS TO THE VEHICLE AFTER IT LEAVES YOUR POSSESSION YOU WILL NOT BE LIABLE.

If you want a boyfriend so bad, then I highly recommend following this https://bitly.im/aOevy Since you've never dated or been kissed before, it's going to be hard to get a boyfriend if you don't know what to do but once you know what to do, you'll be able to get a boyfriend pretty easily and can share your dating stories with your friends and experience those feelings yourself. You'll even be able to attract guys you might feel is out of your league. I suggest going on a bunch of dates before choosing one guy to be your boyfriend. Have fun.

Sounds like you're in trouble. Either pay up or suffer the consequences.

He'll keep trying, and he'll get progressively craftier until he gets it. That's how he keeps his job!
