Me too! Also I find someone to laugh with or cry with. I try to remember God is faithful and the dark state is a growth state in which the soul moves to different levels of spirituality. Confession and adoration is so relaxing to me that my spirit rests. I love that feeling --it's better than chocolate. I also go to a healing mass or a monastery for a retreat. Read ST. Teresa of Avila's "Interior Castles" and so many things are explained. She was a mystic and holy woman who had many dark nights. I love learning from our saint masters. God is such an exciting ride--like a roller coaster--up and down. He's very sensitive and sometimes wants us to love him when he isn't shelling out presents. Most people only pray when they want something from him--shallow spirituality-- but are we faithful on bad days? That's the test. God Bless you, sweet Sister.

Meditation is the biggest one--I've actually had trouble doing it over the past couple of days because I've been very angry with someone, to the point where it's invading my thoughts. I don't like being this angry, but fortunately today I had the time (finally, I work too much) to talk with someone about it...and just having that sympathetic ear helped quite a bit.

I must say that I am not the best Christian in the world but I try just to talk to talk to him whenever I think to. A lot of times people try to pray at a certain time of day. For instance, praying in the morning when you get up or when you go to bed at night. I can't do that. I usually get up late because I go to sleep late. I am too tired to pray at that time. I pray when I'm on a long road trip or when I am running Cross Country. Praying helps me not to worry about things because I know that it's in his hands then. Try it. It might just work. Good luck.
God Bless,
Dana

Go for a walk to a couple special places I have. There is one special shop - has crystals and candles and such - the owner is a Pagan like me - that has such positive energy you always feel good just going there.

Debra M,
I just trust Him more. That's faith. And that's the only way to please Him. If the load feels heavy, I trust Him more, and He will help me with that load and deliever me from it. He said He would, after all.
