Make sure he knows how to lie down on command. Then just sit with him (treats handy) and say "Roll Over, roll over", maybe make a hand motion too. Then go ahead and gently roll him over. Make a huge fuss about what a good boy he is when he gets back up and give him a treat. Do it a few more times and repeat each night for a week. He should start getting the idea after a few nights.
Took my girl about a week and now its her favorite trick— cause she knows she always gets the treat after that one.

Well the way we taught our Boxer is
1. get the dog to lay down
2. get a treat and do a circular motion in front of the dog while saying "roll over"
3. If needed urged it over across it's back
4 as soon as it actaully rolls over reward it with the treat
5 do that everyday for 5-10 minutes and eventually you will be able to get the dog to rollover by just the words and hand motion or just by doing one of the 2.
it worked FABULOUSLY for us so ttry it and see what happens!

When he is lying down move a treat or toy around the side of his head that his legs are on(if he is laying with his legs out to the side ) and slowly over to his back to the point where he can't simply turn his head to reach it anymore. Hold it just out of reach and he should try to follow the treat by at least beginning to roll over. The first few times you may have to help him over a little bit. Be sure to praise emphaticly. If your dog refuses to show his belly or gets really upset if you try to push him onto his back, he may have dominance issues and you should first get him used to having his belly rubbed and in view.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/Umr7X
If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.
It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

The way I did it was to put my hands on her & make her roll over while saying 'Roll over'. She didn't like it but I did it anyway. Then after about a month, if I reached for her while saying 'Roll over', she began rolling over. When I reached for her I moved my hand in a circle. Then after about a month, I just had to say 'Roll over OR move my hand in a circle & she would do it. Good luck!
