So what's your lucky poker hand. I don't believe in luck, but AQo sure does seem to win me important pots, including my biggest tournament win ever.

Anyone else have a hand that seems to come through in the clutch?

Q9 suited seems to be my lucky hand. I can't tell you how many times I have busted pocket Aces with those two cards.
As mentioned, I have no problem throwing them away if I don't get a good hit on the flop.

My favorite hand was in a $200 - $400 7 card stud game at the Bellagio several years ago. I was dealt 3 deuces to start and picked up the fourth on the river. There were 2 flushes and a full house against me. I won just over $30,000 on that hand. Pretty tough to read 4 of a kind when only one is showing - especially when it's a deuce.

It is still talked about among the dealers and the people who were there.

I think it's a BAD idea to get attached to a hand just because you've gotten lucky with it in the past. Over time the odds always even out which is why playing 72o is bad idea even though any two cards can win. Your example of AQo is a pretty strong hand anyway but I would say AA, KK or AK would be luckier if you know what I mean.

The biggest tournament I won against 176 players in our local pub poker league I knocked out five people with KT. Ever since then I do like the hand a little more. But you have to be careful not to get too attached to a hand, just because you got lucky with it a few times doesn't mean you should get silly with it. I know a couple of people that always overplay T2 because it is the Brunson hand.

Well I got to say I'm probably 50% with pocket A's. My girlfriends favorite hand is K,9 suited or not and she does well with it, it must be a girl thing because I don't have luck with it. My buddy's favorite hand is 5,10 because his daughters birthday is May 10th. Lucky probably not! Me I guess I've had the most luck with A,10 suited if I had a choice, won a tourney with it against pocket K's and I floped twp pair. lol....Good Luck!

I won a huge tournament...there was 6 people left..i was dealt Jack Jack...i raised a good amount..and 3 people called..i was like..WTF!..flop was jack jack 5!!..quad jacks on the flop..i was 3rd to act..out of 4..both guys in front of me go all in..so i called naturally..and the idiot behind me calls too..knocked out 3 people...2 had 5's..which is weird..why would they call my raise with anything with a 5..and one guy had AK..ended up winning..

but anyways..i don't get all excited when i get that hand..my favorite hand is still J 10 suited...its a sneaky hand!

mine used to b K-10, but its losing favor with me lately.

funny thing, i hate A-Q. nothing personal n it is a good hand, but i used to overplay it n got burned by A-K so many times that im very weary of it now.
