your monitor is having a power problem in one of its circuits. it can be fixed but if its a cheap monitor then get a new one and if its an expesive one take it to a repair shop and get it fixed and if its cost is middle of the road, buy a new one. repair costs for electronics are kinda high so unless its a really expesive monitor just get a new one.

time to keep a new monitor i guess mine has a 1/2 inch black thing on each side lol

Thump it. If that doesnt work give it the "four inch drop" onto a desk.
PS if your monitor blows up or worse, its not my fault!
