There is a guy that likes me and I've recently discovered that I also have feelings for him also...the problem is that we are real good friends and I'm afraid that if we start dating and it don't work out then that might ruin our friendship and i really wouldn't want to lose him as a friend....so should i go for it or not?

If u two are that good of friends nothing should beable to break your friendship. My best friend and I are going on 7 years and we emailed and chatted for 5 years and for the past year we have been seeing each other and going on trips and all. And we are affraid of the same thing. He dont really want to get into a relationship but yet i think he does and i am the same way. we feel that if we are meant to be we will be and we just promised each other that no matter what we will always stay best friends and nothing will come between us as friends. so if he find someone he would rather be with then that is his choice I will still care for him like i do and i will always be here for him to lean on and if he ever needs anything I am always here. and its the same for him towards me. You will never know til u try and You should just talk to him about it. ask him, will we always be friends no matter what or could anything break up our friendship and find out what he says. or just say have u ever thought what might happen if we were more than friends? U can only ask and if he is your best friend like u say then u should beable to talk to him about anything and he will always be there for you. hope all works out take care.

yes you defaintly should. u could risk losing the friendship by not going for it as well. plus if you are good friends then the posible breakup will be easy and go smothley and you guys can just go back to being friends. dont risk missing out on somehting great because you are afraid of what could happen. dont worry and just take a chance.

GO FOR IT! I've previously dated friends. After we had broken up for differences of opinions, it took a little while to feel like friends again, but now we're all the best of friends. Good luck!

If he is a very nice guy and doesn't seem to get upset easy (if at all), then you should go for it. He would be that kind of guy that is great for friendship or romance. Good luck.

you never know unless you try.....i say go for it. On the otherhand if you're really worried that it won't work out and ruin your perfectly good friendship then you don't like him as much as you think you do.

figure out if its worth the risk of loosing him or gaining for keeps-its like a coin 50/50. then make your move.
