i can tell you something we do in germany for the kids to bring them closer to the milk.....
first off when they little they usually dont get no sodas or all that nesquick stuff....cuz they need to get to know the good stuff in the plain version.... but
I work with kids alot so try this....
if u have a blender at home then put milk in it...just enough for maybe 2drinking cups.... and then add *FRESH* fruit that he likes the most.... maybe bananas or pears or something else..
then mix it either that it is really smooth or that it still got some pieces in it... kids love that....
dont even get him to like all that sweetend up stuff.... no wonder some kids dont wanna drink water or milk... cuz all they got before is all sweet.
what is also not too bad if he likes honey..... warm up milk and put one little spoon of honey in it... that is good in the winter time )for the throat.... not too much of it of course... but 1glass a day is just fine....
´however.... dont force him to drink it...but offer it to him everytime..... and let him see that u drink it too... he gonna get curious about it one time....
hope i could help....

I know that Im not a mother but I sure feel like it, with my dad working late and going on work trips, my little sister, and my little brother who has an over 9 year age difference from me. I sure feel like mom #3, aside from mom and grandma.
My brother wouldnt drink his milk so once in a while we suprise him. You can add a drop of food coloring to it, or try new flavors. Children usally like when you make it more chocolate like. Once in a while get away from nesquick and ovaltine...use real hot chocolate powder. Half of a serving sized bag should do. And you can use it for 2 days!
I hope this helps! Good Luck!

Stop worrying about it, children do not have to have milk, that's a myth perpetuated by the dairy industry. Maybe your child is lactose intolerant and knows that drinking milk gives her a stomach ache. Rice milk or soy milk is much better for her. You don't even need the Vitamin D that is not a natural part of milk anyhow. An hour of sunshine gives you enough Vit D.

There are lots of other ways to get calcium into a child. How about yogurt, cheese, or cottage cheese? Personally, I'd never allow my kids to put chocolate syrup in milk (except on a few rare occasions). I don't think it's a good idea for kids to get used to drinking chocolate milk, which has a lot of sugar and calories.

When you figure this one out let me know. I have the same trouble with my 3 year old. She only drinks about maybe an ounce of white milk a day and about 3 ounces of chocolate a day.

Your child will be fine. 2 of mine had the same problem (if you could call it that). Other people gave great advice, it's not the milk they need, it's the nutrients. You can offer many things instead, cheese, yogurt etc... I would like to advise against the flavoring theory though. It is unnecessary sugar, fat, and can cause dental problems. Don't worry.

as long as she is getting it from someplace, she would be positive! verify she is eating yogurt that's for babies or babies so as that it has the properly suited quantities of fat in it. Low fat yogurt isn't stable for infants by way of fact it has man made sweeteners in it and babies and young ones prefer the fat for concepts progression. My son consistently enjoyed Yo toddler organic and organic yogurt and yoplait makes Dora and Blues Clues yogurt that's made w/finished milk. Milk is an extremely stable source of supplementations and calcium, whether that's not the only source. I hate milk till it extremely is in cereal and whilst i became pregnant my mom saved yelling at me telling me that i mandatory to drink it- I asked my wellness practitioner and he pronounced it wasn't mandatory! My mom wasn't real satisfied w/him!

My son would'nt either. I had to mix it with chocolate syrup, or strawberry syrup. Then when he got older to learn about 'big muscles' and with the positive help from his idle (daddy) he started drinking it plain. Another way is hot chocolate mix, use milk instead of water.

I read in Parent's magazine to offer kids spicy foods so that they can experiment with different kinds of food. My 3 year old loves spicy foods and drinks 2 glasses of milk each time he eats spicy foods.

I had the same problem as you. maybe if you put chocolate or strawberry flavoring in the milk it will sway her to drink it.
and in her favorite tasting cereal to conceal a bit of the milk taste.
Or you could just have your child eat yogurt, iceream, cheese,or foods with cheese to substitute the not drinking of milk, like good ol' pizza, mac&cheese and so on. don't force your child because it will do no good. just try to subtitute the milk with other things high in calcium.
