I always get depressed about everything because everything in life seems harder to get done in my life then anyone else, it's just at those times when I feel helpless, and get depressed.

Pray sweetie. God is more powerful than any medication.
Talk to Him and cry out to Him, NOTHING is impossible for God.
Use faith and trust in God to beat depression.

Ill pray for you too honey

My advise....

Take the medication so you can stablize your emotions and brain chemistry. Be patient... your recovery to feel normal may take awhile.

You will find that the best advice you can get ... is to eat a very healthy diet. No junk food, soda, chips, cookies, cakes, pies, ice cream.... get it all out of your house and never buy it again.

Eliminate all foods with High Frucose Corn Syrup and Hydrogenated Oil of any kind.

Cardio exersizes 3-4 times per week for minimum of 30 minutes per session, up to 45. You might have to work your way up to this. Also go for walks and enjoy all the details of scenary (this doesn't count as exercise).

Get on a regular sleep schedule of 7-9 hours per night, a 30 minute mid day nap is also a plus. Enjoy your family and freinds.... get out and live life (that might be hard now, but it's something you must do). If you don't enjoy it, you need to fake it... eventually your brain will catch up with your life. Comedy is also good.

Bottom Line.... You take care of your body and it will take care of you.

Ahh, you're actually working on it by writing and asking questions.

That means you're not allowing yourself to go down into the pit.

You are on the right track. Keep interested in others. Keep your questions out there to others. Talk and talk more to friends, family, and guidance counselors that sometimes includes ministers. If you can't find someone, write it down. Yes get it out by writing it on paper, or on the computer....and then delete it, or tear up the paper. Yes you have the ability to do something to get rid of the paper that has your problem.
Also,
write 5 things you like about today, just 5.
Then write 5 things you dislike about today.
Ok, then, ready..........
compare the 5 things, and know that you are making progress because you are deciding what you don't like, and what you don't want in your life.

You are becoming distinguished....remember the big guys who are rich and famous have plenty of lists of things, or actions they don't like....remember the "you're fired routine on tv".

So make you list...and everytime you find yourself confused, make another list....you could put the lists in an old place, and only open that envelope if YOU feel like it.....or someday just burn the envelope...lists and all.
It's much better to gain control of your life again.

Also, taking a walk in a safe place works...it gets your momentum going, even if you walk at the mall and window shop...again figuring out what you like or don't like in the window.

Take a deep breath....and live life....if you feel helpless that's ok, just write down what you're discovering makes you get into that helpless zone....you are doing better than you think because you took the time and energy to reach out....and discover that you don't like feeling helpless or depressed.

You...GO Girl or Guy!

I believe that everyone feels that at one time or another, so you are not alone. Go out for a walk and focus on things that are of interest to you. Being in Nature helps me, as does sharing my feelings with people, that have basically the same type interest.

There is nothing wrong with seeing a doctor and getting an evaluation... It is a good thing...I have the same issues...Things feel harder for me.... and i think it is healthy to check with a doctor.
