I am getting my hair done saturday for homecoming = ) the lady at the salon told me to come there saturday with my hair washed and conditioned but I shouldnt put any products in it or straighten it. Does that mean she will put products in my dry hair or just not put any in at all? I am totally clueless about this stuff...Oh and if it makes a difference, I am not getting one of those fancy updos...i just want soft curls. = )

She wants it clean so she can put whatever she needs to make it do what she wants it to do.

Ok first any hairstylist thats knows what she is doing would tell you to come in with your hair not washed or anyproduct in it.... Only if you are getting an up do... the reason for that is when putting it up and using a curling iron on it .. it will slip and slide and not hold a curl or not hold at all shampooing and conditoning will cause it not to hold very well.... so my advice to you is wash it the night before without cond.. and if you have to use it just use a little and do not go in the salon with wet hair.... I do a lot of up dos around this season...... good luck

dont use anything, they will put in what they have and it will work out better. They dont want you to use produts incase it wont work out as good with the curls. So just wash it and and put in your usaly conditioner, and they will do the rest. They have great products that they know what will work great. It wont be anything big just some thigns that will make it softer and hold the curl for longer.

even soft curls will need a lot of products. the hairstylist will put in the products in your hair to make sure it looks good all night.

Relax she just don't want your hair to be full of gunk. A clean head of hair will curl better.
