My drunk bf hit me over the head with a beer bottle and i need 8 stitches.Can i make him pay the medical bill?

Being drunk does not excuse you from anything. Ex: rape, a person cannot use being drunk as an excuse because they "didnt know what they were doing." Usually the other person is drunk too and they dont know what their doing, and if she wakes up and realizes what shes done, chances are its going to be rape. Yes he HAS to pay the medical bill and you can prob get him some jail time.

If it was someone besides your bf would you consider it assault? You need to deal with this from your head, and get some serious counseling for your troubled heart. Don't put it off, procrastination could be the last thing you do in this life.

I'm no lawyer or policewoman but heck yea!!!!!!!!!! you can collect but i believe you would need to file a suit . did you press
charges i hope so ? does your family Know ? are they offering support and protection? Did you place a restraining order?What about you made him think he could possibly do that to you?
How are you attracting abusive men ? what can you do in the future to make sure you don't attract this kind of man? Beyond him taking care of your bill he needs anger management and i hope you stay far from him with the exception of Court! I'm sorry this happened to you and later later when you date again you attract a gentle -man

I wouldn't be calling him your bf. and yes he should pay the bill. be care full though if you didn't tell the truth at the hospital, you might not have a leg to stand on if you decide to go to court to make them pay. hope you know what your doing.

If you dont want the police involved then you can make it a civil matter and got to small claims court.

Well, if this is a serious question - yes of course it is assault. Not only would a court make him pay - he may go to prison.
