Don't eat fast food! Even if you're a skinny teenager this could give you a heart attack and kill you!
Unfortunately, aside from exercise and a balanced diet there aren't many good ways to gain weight. (I know this as a fact myself being skinny and - temporarily - unable to gain weight) Temporarily, I mean, as there IS a way to do it healthily, but I couldn't give you a time frame (this would depend on the person)
Eating coconut oil can help you put on weight (healthily) and do wonders to the rest of your body (even help with acne and hair loss). You can find it at quite a few health-food stores by now - but even if you can't, you can buy online.
Many people recommend one tablespoonful per day, since taking too much isn't advisable. The taste isn't completely disagreeable, but not being my personal favorite, you can add it to smoothies, dips, and even use it as butter for cinnamin-rasin rolls.
Fresh coconuts ARE another option, although you'd have to eat a substantial amount of them to get results.

OMG, I hope you don't ever feel disgusting... I would say that you are still young and that it takes time to actually "fill in". A lot of people don't reach that level of maturity until LATE teens or early twenties. If you are adimate about gaining weight you might want to increase your caloric intake. Drink shakes like ensure and other protien supplements. I wouldn't push it though! Certain things can catch up to you later! You might even be lucky: while all your other girlfriends are getting bigboned you'll still look yourthful and thin! Good luck....

First of all.. drop your jealous loser friend. Friends support and help one another out. Not bash each other.
Secondly.. dont stress yourself out over it,, enjoy this phase while you can, you are young,,, and thats normal. I was the same way....but like someone else said,, DO NOT EAT FAST FOOD,,, it will only make you get cottage cheese on your legs and will only give you BAD FAT.. there actually is good fat out there. Like avocado, nuts,, olive oils,,, and another thing,, if you have no shape,, if you are too skinny,, try lifting weights, which will make you build muscle and give you the tone that you need.
And lastly... dont hate yourself... beauty comes from inside (Really) love yourself and walk with your head high.... men love confident women,,,,,, just dont get a big head,, (men hate that).
One last thing.. peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are great for you too.. you get the carbs and protein that you need. (Good fat.)
Good luck.

I suffered the same problem as a teenager. Your metabolism works like a dam. When there is a lot of food present, your metabolism bums it much faster, leaving you hungry in like an hour. But, if you can lower your metabolism, you'll gain weight. The easiest way to lower your metabolism is to reduce your food intake. But wait, why would you decrease food to increase weight? That's crazy, right? Trust me. In college, when I couldn't afford food, I ate less and gained a significant amount of weight.
Or, you could just increase high calorie foods, like peanut butter and cream cheese... your choice.

Ok - It really depends on your age, and of course, ask your family doctor. He/she can probably recommend a good dietician, to take care of your nutritional needs. You can find out if you are currently eating appropriately for your age. Perhaps you aren't getting enough nutrients! In addition, you can go to your local gym and start a weight training program with a personal trainer.
That's the "healthy way".....somebody else might tell you to hit McD's every day.......Good luck! (ps - you might want to rethink your friend...not nice to call you 'disgusting')

Why would you want to gain weight. You should be happy the way you are. In time you will gain weight. And then you will want to take it off. So, be happy that you skinny. I bet you friend is alot heavier than you.

what kind of a friend is that?
eat more carbohydrates and proteins, and especially between 10:00 and 2:00 in the morning because thats when your gastric juices are most active.
Eat huge breakfasts and huge dinner, and don't forget to exercise.
sometimes being underweight is genetic, so ask your doctor.
