I don't really know if this was paranormal activity and I have tried to justify it scientifically but I can not come up with an explanation. When I was at uni I used to share a house with this other girl, who spent most of her time at her boyfriends. We also had a cat. Anyway to cut a long story short, weird things use to happen like the kettle would come on on its own, and we would have loads of power cuts and nobody else in the street would. We also used to get loads of headaches and feel sick, so we got the landlord to get the gas supply checked and we had a gas leak. It was rectified, but continued to happen and the gas man couldn't explain it. One night I was in bed with my boyfriend and we woke to hear loads of banging and crashing, like furniture being moved. We thought we were being broken into, so we called the police and when they arrived the banging stopped and nothing had happened. Always felt like I was being watched or followed by something and the front bedroom was like an ice box when the rest of the house was really hot. Eventually my flat mate said to me one night, do you think this house is haunted. So, I asked her why she thought it might be and the same things had been happening to her when I wasn't there. Apparently her alarm clock use to go off at 3am every night when she had not set it, and she claimed that one night she heard whispering from the cornor of the room, and the cat was going ballistic. It was a dead spooky house and I moved out cause I couldn't deal with it anymore. After I moved two more people that I knew from uni moved in and they started experiencing the same things. I don't know, there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation, but I have never had that same feeling again.

I lived in a house that was once an Inn, in fact there had been an Inn on the site for 1000 years.
Things would go missing and we soon learned that if you went to where they were before and then asked for them back, they would be returned and left in the most obvious places !
For example, I lost a book that I had borrowed from a friend, it just vanished overnight from the living room, I spent days looking for it. I went into the living room one night and said `Oi, where is that blooming book ? ` and the next day it was on top of the TV.
We also had the `shadow people` it was like living with a bunch of naughty schoolboys, even in the car park you would see them. Usually as you were trying to reverse out of the drive one or two maybe more would run across the driveway.
Only once was I scared and that was an old lady that shouted at me when I was home alone !
I asked in the village about her and some of the older people remembered `her` being seen in the bar a few times.
My youngest children who were about 5 or 6 at the time have never said anything about it, but the older ones have many tales to tell. Funnily enough our dog took no notice , but I always thought that our old cat could see or sense it too, although there is no logical reason why I think that
Anyway...it was interesting, but more amusing than scary.

Before I lived there I really did not believe in such things.

Oh..and one other thing, I sometimes would type letters for a friend of mine, the last letter I typed I put in an envelope and immediately lost it, could not find it anywhere...so I printed out another and gave it to him. Two weeks ago I was told that he had died in a car accident and when I went to my office that evening, the missing letter was there in plain sight on my desk.

Are the responses to this post mainly from females! It is my experience that females are more likely to experience something we call paranormal. This is true to a large extent with religious visions, a large percentage of christian visions are via young or isolated females. The Greeks famously used females as eyes into the unknown, Pagan druidic beliefs had a strong feminine input, Hinduism has its `visions`, as have all beliefs from the dawn of time. The problem with paranormal activity is simple - it disappears when the cameras show up, never to be proven to science in a no-nonsense fashion. It remains purely with the observer, never the observed. I know of many claims, but absolutely no proofs!

Sure.

I've been visited by ghosts a number of times. And some other types of paranormal entities.

I think you want a description over an explanation, don't you?

When I was a kid I saw a lot of things other people didn't. One would say I was gifted. Over the years I started thinking I was crazy and ignoring things. So they stopped coming. I'm more sensitive than gifted now.

As I Catholic, I have tools to help the lost souls attain heaven. Prayers for the dead. The Rosary. The Mass. Asking angels to come pick up the lost ones.

So I was able to help a lot of lost souls cross over.

many times but it doesnt affect me personally
and most things can be explained even in a paranormal sense
most polterguist activity is usually human energy
it tends to be when there are teens in the home and most likely girls aged 13 - 18 due to hormones
but this activity can be brought about by any pent up emotion

About thirty years ago, a bottle of milk just happened to slide off the kitchen table, my family and I were in the living room at the time, so it remains unexplained!

Yes, since I was a child. They have been pleasant to live with. (seems like they follow me) Pranksters mostly, but they do get creepy every now and then. Its a part of life everybody doesn't cross over like they are supposed to.
