Hello everyone! This guy and I dated for 8 months, we fell in love, moved in together yadda yadda. Things didn't work out for lack of communication. I eventually moved in back home w/the parents, he still lives in our old apartment. We didn't speak for 2 months, but were both still in love. He finally told me that he thought we made a mistake, I thought so too, so we have been talking again. We agree that we want to take it slow and work on things, but he never responds to my texts or calls. He does on occasion, but not a lot...I am so confused as to what he wants. Does he really want to be with me like he says he does? He tells me it crucifies him not to be with me, yet he doesn't respond to me when I make communication. Sometimes he is weird and says things like "well we aren't together" blah blah...either he wants to be with me or not. I'm about to just give up. Should I keep my heart into this? I do really love him....

Since you both agreed that you guys wanted to "take it slow," I say give him time. I had a very similar situation very recently (you can read it through my Yahoo questions), where I felt the guy became very distant, and I couldn't figure out WHAT he wanted out of our relationship. We had the 'talk' finally, and because we both agreed on a lot of things that were up in the air and unanswered prior to the talk, he became more open, more like a boyfriend (although we agreed we won't have a serious relationshpi), and most of all, shows that he cares a lot more now. One advice: if you push him, I think it'll backfire. So don't do it. Be the cool girl. Be the cool 'girlfriend' that says, 'we don't talk often, but i really feel like we don't have to, to feel connected.' If he doesn't text back, so what. If he doesn't call back, so what? He probably needs time. He'll call, and he'll be there, when he's ready. If you can't do this, and you are the type of girl that calls and calls and calls until he picks up, kick him to the curb and find someone that likes those things. Honestly, though, guys (and girls) all want what they can't have. If you make yourself unavailable and make yourself busy with other things to do, you're a winner!

Sounds like after these many months you STILL have a lack of communication!! Relationships must be built on a good communication skill. Unless you can get him to talk straight with you and sort things out, I would say move on. Sometimes love hurts, but the sun always does shine agin.

I do believe you truly love him, unfortunatly, he is in his own world and has moved on. I would say he has an issue of being alone or has a low self esteem that makes him want to try and hurt you to make himself feel better for the things that he is doing or has done in the past.

Remember the saying, "Love is blind"? You head wrote a very obvious letter saying: This jerk is playing ding ding ding." Yet at the end you heart write of love. This feels more like y ou know he is not there, but you don't want to face the grief of goodbye.

Gosh, the wholethings sounds like an awful bore.

Surely you can find someone a bit jollier to spend time with. He sounds like a narcissist.

it sounds like you are young , based on that you moved back home . its not worth your time stressing over a relationship if only one of you really wants it he sounds preoccupied dont be surprised if the only time you here from him is when someone isnt around
