My first thought was morbid. But after reading the definition, I am not sure if that is the best word:
Etymology: Latin morbidus diseased, from morbus disease
1 a : of, relating to, or characteristic of disease
2 : abnormally susceptible to or characterized by gloomy or unwholesome feelings

It depends, are you talking about being consumed with your own death or death of others? It could be depression.
