I applied in person at a Farmers Claims office with my resume and filling out the application. You should have a degree in any field of studies. Generally a four year degree is required since you may be dealing with attorneys, medical offices, body shops, rental car companies, construction and city and state regulations, etc.
Apply at a local claims office and brush up on math and reading scenerios. Writing is a a great skill to have since many reports either written by you or reviewed by you will be a regular duty in this job.
Dress professionally meaning tie and jacket for men and slacks or business skirt and blouse for women. You will later get the opportunity to dress business casual once you've been hired.
