What is so horrific about that? Should that not be happy and exciting time to come?

The scriptures says: at John 5:28, 29: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. .”

(Daniel 12:2) "And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches [and] to indefinitely lasting abhorrence."

(Isaiah 25:8) "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it]."

Revelation 21:3, 4 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them.  And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and DEATH will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

If billions are to be raised from the dead, where will they all live?

A very liberal estimate of the number of people who have ever lived on earth is 20,000,000,000. As we have seen, not all of these will be resurrected. But, even if we assume that they would be, there would be ample room. The land surface of the earth at present is about 57,000,000 square miles (147,600,000 sq km). If half of that were set aside for other purposes, there would still be just a little less than an acre (c. 0.37 ha) per person, which can provide more than enough food.
At the root of present food shortages is not any inability of the earth to produce sufficient but, rather, political rivalry and commercial greed.

As long as we remain fatihful to our Heavenly father and Jesus Christ we will see that fulfilment to the full. (Matt. 24:13) When the earth becomes (as it was intended for righteous people) a paradise. (See: Isa. 65:21-24; Ps. 145:16)

"Night of the Living Dead" - Dude, I forgot about that movie. Religiously speaking, this is the Apocalypse and the four horsemen.

As I understand it they will--some to eternal beauty and glory and some to the ugliness and corruption their sin earned for them.
