Buy a ball that has a sound in it (bell, squeeck, whatever), take the dog and the ball to the park. Play with the ball, make wide gestures and noise so he will understand that it is his toy. Now, make him run after it and bring it back to you. You can do this over and over again and your dog will love it!!
Get a doggy-rope and you can compete with him pulling the rope. You can even do this inside the house. Have a bit of a wrestle with your puppy, good for bonding (puppies together wrestle a lot).
And take it out on walks, and more walks. You could take up jogging for that matter and you'll both be very healthy!

Walk him, walk him, walk him! He will enjoy it and burn off his puppy energy too. This works for our latest, a 3 month old bulldog so I hope it works for you.

Find him a dog friend and make play dates! It is always good to socialize dogs so they don't try to fight, AND it will help him get excersize!
