Try The South Beach Diet - it is similar to Atkins but far less strict with the carbs and more manageable to work into every day life.

I lost a stone and it has stayed off!

firstley dont over do it on the atkins diet is dosent work for everyone and the statistics say it can cause serious health problems in people with already under lying illnesses that havent been detected . to maintain the weight loss eat a daily sensible healty diet and your weight should balance its self out if you gain a little go back to the first step of your diet then balance it out with plenty of fruit and fresh veggies etc my son recentley went from 15 and a half stone to just over 9 but it took him almost 2 and a half years to do now he eats sencible and dosent over eat till hes stuffed and knows his limit for eating to satisfy his needs and he hasnt gain the weight at all again . bear in mind my son was a 42 inch waist at 14 years old now hes 17 and hes a healthy 32 inch waist even his feet shrunk 3 sizes .

you cant! unless you continue not to eat carbs.atkins is a way of life not a quick fix diet. it does make you lose weight, but if you go back to 'normal' eating the weight will return.you are supposed to gradually return carbs into the diet, but as soon as you do your body will turn this into fat and you gain weight.

if u stick to a low fat healthy diet and exercise u won't have to worry about ur weight,u need carbs aswell as protein but it has to be balanced to be any good for u,if u exclude lots of foods from ur diet u won't get all of the goodness ur body needs

You can't, as soon as you eat carbs again it goes straight back on. Trust me after losing four stone I put five on. Eats sensibly and exercise, it's the only way.

Simple, continue exercising daily and watch the amount of fats, calories, and sodium you take in. You just have to be critical of what you eat!
