I remember I had this problem..when I first made one..lol* its alright..i'll try and help <33
1. First you need to find a layout you like.

http://www.mspremade.com/
http://www.mygirlyspace.com/
http://layoutsduh.com/
After you find the one you like..you pick on that layout..which will give you a code.
2. You copy the code: then paste it into your about me section of your myspace...to get there you go on your mainpage..as if your checking your mail or whatever..hit edit profile..paste the code into the about me..then make sure you hit SAVE ALL CHANGES with out hitting it..the layout won't work. GO TO WHATEVERLIFE.COM.Then you pick a layout witch is the background.After that you press get the code and copy the code into
your edit profile all about me on myspace.And you check if its there
if its not im me at nysmartestblond for aol.You can also add pics or icons to it.Same thing pick out an icon and you just take the code and paste it anywhere you want it.It could be music,all about me,intrests,Id like to meet,movies ,and so on.I hope i helped.

ok u can go to a website like freeweblayouts.com and then u click on a layout to c the layout code. then u right click and press select all then once it's highlighted u right click again and press copy. then u go to ur myspace and click on edit profile. then right click in the about me box and press paste. then press preview profile to c how the background will come out. if u like it then press save changes.

just look up myspace layouts on google or something and most of the websites will give you a code which you just copy and paste onto your profile. it's really simple
