male nurses are well respected, and I know many.
several are in management positions. It is a good profession

I'm not a male nurse, but i went to nursing school with some males, and they add such a different perspective to the profession. Some are not respected, but are truly great nurses...more males need to be in the profession!

One of my best friends is a male-nurse and i would say he doesn't get anywhere near enough respect.

Yes, they are.
I am a Nurse, and there are lots of male nurses.
Be proud of what you do, or want to do, and dont give a damn what others think.
At the end of the day, who do you have to live with?
