In a word, no. You do not get all the nutrients you need to live a healthy life by only drinking juice (especially protein and iron). However, it is good to up your intake of juices and water while eating healthfully.

Not sure what a juice diet would have over a balanced, healthy diet of regular portions - including protein rich meats and vegatables, nuts, eggs and such, and eliminating refined sugar, white bread, pasta and white rice (to get rid of the simple carbs).

If you're looking to lose weight, I would suggest a radical quick fix like a juice-only diet has a lot less chance of success than:

1) modifying a standard diet as I've described above and,
2) regular aerobic exercise on a daily basis, like walking, running or cycling.

Best to you.

No they are not because all you are doing is flushing nutrients through your system. Eventually you body will deteriorate due to the fact that it is not getting all the nutrients you need.
