I myself never, ever judge a person by their race, religion, sex, sexuality, ethnicity or nationality, I get to know a person personally before I make any opinions of them. If we want to live in a peaceful world this is what every person should be doing and I would encourage you to do this as well. At the end of the day, if we cant live together on this planet side by side in peace we will end up dying together, which do you choose? I choose to live in peace with my neighbours who ever they are and I can that this has worked for me and my local community very well.

Peace or War, we all have to decide.

I'm not talking about world leader or religious leaders, I'm talking about normal people, civilians. Many people on yahoo answers are so hateful it's beggars belief.

amen to that!
i have always thought that, i don't see the point judging someone for their religion, surely it is the person as a whole that matters?

Sadly, Peace or War has never been the choice of the individual, at least I can find no examples of it on the world stage. It can work well at a local level, and some day we may have a true world village. Meanwhile we will only smile at neighbours with oil reserves!

Sounds good in theory doesnt it? Most decent people (liberal or conservative) are ALL for peace. The problem we have is this little thing called evil and tyranny. They both are always at our doorstep threatening our morality, foundation for society, our national security, and our very souls.

Im afraid our only safeguards are education (as Thomas Jefferson wrote) conservative values, and the principles found in Scripture. If we dont find our neighbors or politcal enemies abiding by them, war becomes the inevitable outcome; not because we dont like each other, but that they threaten our nation and our children.

What about the people who will always choose war and for trivial reasons at that. I agree that peaceful people must strive for peace, but those who choose war will eliminate the peacemakers and then everyone will die anyway. However, if peacemakers occasionally defend that peace through war, then there will be a better ultimate outcome.

Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work out how you think.

You can live in peace as much as you want, but if a person / gang / country wants your tv, car, house, oil or country, and is willing to fight you for it, what options do you have?

Do you stand by your decision to live in peace, and let them take it, or do you defend yourself, ie. fight. If you fight, then you are at war with that person / gang / country.

When you realise this, you realise that all the time there are humans on this planet, there will simply never be peace.

I have to disagree with your non judgement. I myself cast perceptions on the world and I see this as perfectly natural and acceptable. That said, I do recognize that they are merely my perceptions and always attempt to allow space for those perceptions to be transcended. I see your non judgement as merely a way of avoiding a part of you that you see as harmful but judgement is a vital part to staying alive and if you don't use it then you're just throwing out a highly effective human characteristic all for the sake of your political correctness.

Conflict is a design flaw in humanity. There will not be world peace so long as humanity lives.

Peace is nice, but who decides which morals we must follow? Conflicting morals can result in war.
