Yes I think it is now, The us, aussies, britains, kiwis and others are having a torid time with things, you dont know whoes a bomber and who isn't anymore and thats scary.

we all need to get out of there now as if we stay there much longer we'll just loose more lives as a coalition and more calls will be made for rapid withdrawals, heree in aus we also have troops in the solomans and other places around our region inluding east timor.

The sooner we get out, maybe the sooner Iraq can sort itself out.

Without a doubt. And it's NOT about the oil. At our peak , the USA imported only 8% of our oil from Iraq. It's been apparent from the beginning that we would fail in bringing democracy to these savages. If , Bush, had only read a little bit of the history of this region, he would have discovered that they have been a waring, tribal culture for the past 3,000 years and there isn't anything we or anyone else can do to civilize them. They are still
fighting the crusades after 700 years. Don't get me wrong, we did the only moral thing we could do as a nation to bring down the butcher of Bagdad .. BUT we should have left immediately thereafter to let them go on slaughtering each other in the name of their, peace loving,God .

The US Military is having no trouble whatsoever with insurgents. THERE ARE NO INSURGENTS, just remnants of the Fedayeen Saddam, some Bath party members, and one or two generals who didn't have the guts to face our forces in a stand-up fight! Insurgents do not kill their own defenseless people . That comes form the terrorist mind. Oh, let's not forget the imported terrorists who are swelling the ranks of those there now. Do you really, seriously, think they care one whit for the Iraqi people? They came to kill Americans, and when that proved too difficult, they turned their attention to defenseless people, as bullies and terrorists always do.

Yes, I fear Iraq is doomed to failure, because people like you will not stop their propaganda campaign until Iraq is another Viet Nam. The Viet Nam War was lost in the streets of America, with a resultant blood bath of over 2,000,000 people in South Vietnam, and a similar number in Cambodia that people are strangely willing to look at. That's what will happen in Iraq if you and your ilk succeed.

The defining 2d develop into formerly the warfare even began - choosing to do it without the backing of the UN. "Extending the warfare into Iraq could have incurred incalculable human and political expenses. we could have been compelled to occupy Baghdad and, in result, rule Iraq. The coalition could at once have collapsed, the Arabs deserting in anger and different allies pulling out besides. Exceeding the U.N.'s mandate could have destroyed the precedent of international reaction to aggression we was hoping to be sure. Had we long gone the invasion path, the U.S. ought to nevertheless be an occupying power in a bitterly adverse land." -- From "Why We did no longer do away with Saddam" by way of George H. W. Bush, Time magazine, 1998 wager what? we are actually "an occupying power in a bitterly adverse land."

Another article clip with fabrication added by the habitual liar named erudite....

The fabricated part is, of course, "The United States military is having a tough time with the insurgents."..... not to mention all the parts he left out....

Once again exposed as the violator of copyright law, and the liar that he is

the link to the REAL article, as always, is in my source section....

The destruction of the Saddam regime allowed for massive civil war. Maybe Saddam was not that bad after all. Most Iraqis lived peacefully under his regime. The American government and news media barely hint at the violent destruction occurring daily in Iraq. Any American who spoke up defying the so-called facts that were readily available to the American public was called a conspiracy theorist or a nut job

Now that the elections are nigh upon us, the truth is becoming commonly accepted. Although this war is a Republican plot (tied in with multi-national corporations) I blame the detractors for not speaking up sooner. But then again, most of the dead are Iraqi Muslims and in the estimation of too many American, they are sub-human.

With our nation divided roughly 50-50 on this issue I fear that this may ultimately be the case. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
When we bail on this (which I am convinced we will if the Democrats regain a majority in Congress) the result will be more terrible than we can even imagine, both for the muddled east and for our own country.

Bush has been eyeing the Iraqi oil fields since day 1. If Iraq does succeed as a nation then that means Bush loses out on the oil.
