If these laws are obsolete, as I was told in my last three questions, why do Christians always quote Leviticus in regards to Homo sexuality?
Thank you, Tammi Dee

Tithing, gay bashing, and the 10 commandments are still in force. Apparently, Jesus forgot to 'fulfill away' these.

Um, I wouldn't say that these laws are "obsolete." How can part of the Bible be obsolete? It's either all true or none of it is true. However, the Bible does clearly state that homosexuality is a sin (read Romans). Jesus did not come to do away with the law but to fulfill the law. He made the ultimate sacrifice for any sin that can be committed.

using fact the Bible replaced into built by making use of diverse authors over a minimum of 3500 years, this is rife with discrepancies of the two good judgment and factor. not purely are there issues interior it which at the instant are not making experience from present day scientific and materialist perspectives, yet there are additionally discrepancies between countless manuscript copies of the Bible (3 hundred,000 in the hot testomony on my own). Even interior any given present day text textile of the Bible (such using fact the King James version, the NIV, the English generic version etc.) there are scores of conflicting data and ethical policies. each and every thing from descriptions of God's nature and want for the existence of Christ to ethical policies and prohibitions -- all are riddled with conflicting claims and assertions. particularly this actuality does not invalidate the Bible as a non secular text textile. Inaccuracies or conflicting debts do not invalidate the gemstones of historic and non secular certainty contained therein -- we want not throw out the toddler with the tub water. in spite of the fact that, such discrepancies point out that we would be the two silly to settle for blindly each and every be conscious or passage of the Bible as an absolute certainty, the uncontestable know God, except of course we've been attempting to declare God has a ill humorousness and is attempting to steer us off purpose by making use of confusing us.

tammidee10,
I honetly believe they do because they have been taught by those that pervert the Gospel. The message of grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Leviticus also states that:
Leviticus 11:9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

So how many of them eat the things which are an abomination?

As Jesus said:
Matthew 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

So it is not adherance to the Law that saves, but the faith that one has in God through Christ that saves.

Homosexuality is a sin and an abomination.

Romans 1:24-27

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

The old law is not obsolete, just complete. We live under the new law of grace that also says homosexuality is sin.

those laws are not obsolete, in fact the book of Romans talks about it
chapter 1:26
because people did those things, GOD left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex and started having sex with other women. 27 In the same way, men stopped having natural sex and began wanting each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs.

That's where all STD's started.

Dunno about "obsolete," but Leviticus also says that a bat is a bird (11:19) and that a rabbit chews its cud (11:6) and that flying insects walk on all fours (11:20-23). I'd take things with a grain of salt.

They do that because they are being duped by Satan. They think they are doing Gods work but they are really doing Satan's.
It is really quite sad to think of the Christians who will be judged in heave because they judged homosexuals. I also think it is sad to think of the homosexuals who have rejected Christianity and Christ because the church rejected them. It is a sad state of affairs.

The Bible neither says that homosexuality is a sin nor does it condemn homosexuals. It condemns sodomy, fornication, and adultery. While homosexuals may be guilty of this, so are several billion heterosexuals.
