I have a few freckles, quite tall, long hair and a fringe. It's currently a dirty blonde colour but it is too dull for my liking. I've always wanted firey red hair - what do you think?

why not try high lights, it looks more natural and you could put tones of red and caramel in it to bring it alive more rather than have a flat colour.

Freckles and fair hair go, bit loreal do a nice strawberry blonde which might suit you. If you look too pale, then get some clarins face tanner, light so you look healthy with your new red hair. You can always change it back!!

It all depends on your skin tone. If you are going to dye it, go to a salon with a good reputation. They will be trained to assess your natural hair colour and skin tone and help you make a decision about what colours will suit you.

You might want to think about getting highlights instead of all over colour. They are much easier to maintain as they work with the natural colour of your hair and you don't get that horrible really obvious regrowth.

if you are unsure, try a few of them wash out hair colours first, thats what i did, then if you hate it, just wash it out with your usual shampoo, no lasting damage and no waiting a few weeks to re colour it.
or you could try various wigs to see what colour suits you.
as you have a few freckles, i think red will look good on you.
what colour is your hair origionally? is it the blonde you are at the moment? try a few shades darker than your natural to start off with and go from there.

Red is a nice color, but it requires a lot of maintenance. I used to have red hair and it faded all the time, even when I was using the most expensive shampoos and conditioners. That said, I say it is better for you go to a lighter shade of blonde.

Hit it with some auburn first - it will look more natural. If you like the red tint go for the full red then. Blond to red is a big transition and one that can go bad quickly and turn a horrible orange color if you don't go in stages

Are you male or female? Then think at your personality. Rebel? Go blue! Tame ...well just go tame. Out of this world? Go bright RED!
Age...well that can be a problem but not necessary! For my 37'th I looked like a parrot: red, blue and yellow and I'm only what I call an average female. And I'm talking of this year not the 70's :)))

you could get some different colour highlights. A good hair dresser/Colourist should give you some suggestions. I too an blonde altough lighter and have fancied a more red colour this is what was suggested to me

If you'd like a really drastic change, probably quite dark brown with a vibrant red fringe would look AWESOME.

DO NOT do fiery red hair ... it would make you look like pi-pi long stocking! i would go a... dark brown or a blond! BROWN because it would suit you... BLOND because it would bring out your eyes and your face! (I'm a tall height and have freckles with blue eyes and all the boys like me!! GO WITH ONE OF THOSE!!
