I think I got it...if you give yourself to christ, if he really is the son of god, then you will not suffer after you die. So basically christians live so that when they are dead they wont suffer. But your dead, how can you suffer? Even if you went to hell you wouldnt know it, your dead.

Jesus did not die to end the suffering on this earth. Jesus died so that we that are Christians will not have to spend an eternity in hell. The suffering on this earth is nothing compared to the eternal suffering that a person will have to go through if they die without Christ. Also you need to read where sin came from. God did not send sin into it world man chose it and the suffering comes with it.

NO, Jesus died so that our sins could be forgiven. In response to the sacrifice that God made by giving us His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die for our sins, we are called to repent from our sins and put our faith and trust in Christ alone. Its like this, your guilty of a very serious crime, and you cannot pay the fine, but just before the judge passes the sentence, someone steps forward and pays the fine for you. That's what Jesus did, He paid your fine, He took your punishment for you. There is nothing about suffering going away when a person becomes a christian, in fact a christian is promised, tribulation, temptation, and persecution, as well as eternal life. Suffering and diseases and so on and so forth will go away after the second coming, in the New Heaven and New Earth.

No it is through suffering that Jesus entered Glory and so do His followers. It is eternal death and suffering He has saved us from and now He makes even our suffering work out for our good as He uses it to teach us love, patience and trust in Him. We are still sinners in this life and we suffer the consequences of sin. It is when He returns that He will wipe away every tear and there will be no more curse or pain.

Jesus didn't die to end our suffering he died for the forgiveness of our sins and so that we may have eternal life in Heaven with Him and God. Our suffering ends when we get to Heaven, accepting Jesus as our Savior makes the suffering endurable.

Yes, Jesus died so that when we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour we won't have to suffer for our sins for ETERNITY, however, there ARE consequnces in this lifetime for our sins. If I was to rob a bank, and spend 5 yrs in jail, and during that time give my life to the Lord, I still have to pay for the consequences of my actions. Along the same lines, if I choose to smoke for 40 yrs, and as a result I get lung cancer, that's hardly His fault. That's called free will, but, thankfully, our eternal life is secure once we've trusted in Him! I hope this sheds a little light on your question.

Jesus didn't die so we wouldnt' suffer, He had to die because the OT laws of repenting for sins became a cliche for people back then. Jesus died so who may ever believe shall not die but have eternal life.
And people still suffer because we live in a fallen world.
The bible says that satan is right now the ruler of this world
See GOD gave authority to Adam and Adam legally gave it to Satan, so Jesus had to come righteously take it back
The Hebrew word for satan means adversary, he comes to kill and destroy us who believe in Christ.

Jesus came to make a way to salvation possible. God promises that thorugh Jesus we can have an eternal life free from suffering in His Kingdom. He does not promise that we will not suffer in this world but that we can expect to be persecuted for His name sake. He asks us to take up our cross and follow Him, He tells us that our burden will be light when we walk with Him.
Since becoming a born again Christian my burdens have indeed been light and my victory's sweeter. The fruits of His Holy Spirit in my life have truly blessed me and I am thankful.
If you do not have God's peace in your heart then you should consider surrendering yourself to Jesus by making Him Lord of your life. If we all were to do this, then this world would be a much happier place.

Jesus died and was resurected that our sins could be reconciled unto God. Without the sacrifice, we cannot enter the presence of God. On Earth, man still makes the decisions. We have access to God, by faith, through Jesus, and by prayer He will answer by His will. Man created suffering. God gave salvation.

There will be no more suffering when Christ comes back to rule the earth for 1,000 years. For now, we are still suffering under the curse of Adam and the ruler of this present darkness... Satan.
