If you want a white that will tame the salty and pungent flavors of olives, try a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.

For a red, try Sangiovese (or Chianti.)

Anything else, you're wasting your time :)

The Spanish flight is definitely a good choice especially if your new to Spanish wines. The Glorioso in very nice with olives.

Also the Italian flight has a white so that might be nice to, just remember to start with the white and finish with the Amarone.

simple rule of wine pairing; find out where the olives are from and match them up with a wine from the same area. the "terroir" automatically makes them compatible (same soil same taste). wine is very subjective, but this rule works all the time.

Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, Beaujolais, Loire and Rhone. But the well-chosen list featured numerous wines from the Languedoc, Roussillon, Corsica, Provence, the Savoie, Jura and the South West.

A good chianti classico, or a Spanish rioja. If you are adventurous you could try a Greek wine, but suggest you get some expert guidance there...

"Truth Hurts" rules!! Chianti is perfect w/ grapes. I suggest trying the Brolio label.

Or another easy choice is Luna Di Luna Sangiovese/Merlot Blend.

Or try Bogle Vineyards Petit Syrah... nice & smooth.

Any wine will work . Are they Olives Mista?
I would go for a good hearty wine ( Reds, Chiantis) to enjoy them .
