I always used to say, ' my parents put me to bed when I wasn't tired and made me get up when I wanted to stay in bed'............some things never change!

You have to avoid sugary foods past 5:00p.m. Give them nice warm bathes and have one half hour of story time to calm them down. Stay on a schedule every single day, no exceptions until you can get them to sleep easliy. Then you can break the schedule when you need to, just don't make a habit of it or you will be right back where you are now. Good luck...

ok hate to lecture but 10pm...your kidding me right,, how old are they?
Have you tried bathing them putting them in to bed and reading to them?
Rules in my house are dinner at 5 nothing sweet after 6 they play for an hour then the whole bath time routine.. it wont work straight away but keep at it once they realise your keeping at the routine they should calm down a bit

Good luck

My daughter tries to work her ticket about that time too!
But not for long..Dad rules. A stern voice, not shouting, works with her..
BE FIRM! don't let your kids walk over you. If they get away with it now your in deep kaka.
You are the parent BE ONE!
My parents were in the army, they said jump I would say "how high?".

cut down on the sugars (even natural sugars), food dyes and preservatives... that will calm them down alot. and stand firm on the time they go to bed, if they refuse make it earlier 30mins each time. make sure no tv is in the room either. try reading a story to them before bed, and spray alittle vanilla air scent, and even invest in some classical music. it really works!!! at bath and body you can buy vanilla spray for linens, it works too!
