no. it is true that they are both primates, but chimps are from the Great Ape familly. Monkeys are slightly differant and have their own classifacation.

Oh, and I am NOT related to any monkey or any other primate. I'm a human made in God's image. Do you people really think that we came from Monkeys? If so, why are there STILL monkeys? We may have some similar characteristics, more than say a Bald Eagle, but we're not related. Darwin was just stupid like the people that thought the earth came from the sun. Everything that was made was made for us. Maybe God made monkeys so we could have new Livers, or something, but Humans did not evolve from them.

The easy way to look at it it Monkeys have tails. Ape;s dont the Oran u tang has no Tail and is therefore an Ape

no. chimpanzees are more closely related to us, tend to be bigger in size and weight. monkeys are smaller.
