Do you mean the Malleus Maleficarum? It's called "The Witches' Hammer". I don't know if it's in the DaVinci Code or not, but it was a major witch-hunter's text. However, although people belived this book was endorsed by the Catholic Church, it actually wasn't.

Be very careful with The DaVinci Code. The book is loaded with historical errors, half truths, and plain lies, and Brown's "FACT" page should have been titled "ERRORS." It does a much better job smearing the Catholic Church, ignoring the good the Church has done, and is generally a weak novel. The characters, for example, are cookie cutter names and bodies which are mere instruments to spew Brown inaccurate ideas and opinions.

That vile book of superstitions and lies was called the Malleus Maleficarum. It was created by the church to instill fear and obedience in the masses and give license to those who would kill innocent people under false and ludicrous accusations.
