try using a little flexible hold hairspray when using a flat iron. I think that will help if you don't want the curl at the end.

Use hairspray and an wide barrel curling iron for the bottom.

my ends always flip..nothing you can do about it.,.i even cut my hair and ends still flip

it might b ur sstraightner is not hot enuf or where you live is humid..
