Believers constantly ask "It's impossible that the universe was right in the way we evolved." Some claim that no way could things have turned out perfect from the big bang or _____ (insert other theory here) “What are the chances?! It doesn’t make sense!!” someone asked rudely

Don't you think that this outcome IS the prefect way despite all the flaws?! I mean we wouldn't be here if things were messed up!! So since we are here and can acknowledge it, doesn't it mean this is right? That since we evolved and this is the outcome, that somewhere in our evolutionary history all the mistakes were wiped out?

You weren’t there to witness the huge flops in evolution – but wait, since you don't have any proof then it doesn't exist right? But believers get angry at atheists for saying that so they can't use that line. (wink wink nudge nudge)

Why do they think that this is a mistake when natural selection has AND is continuing to dispose of the "mistakes" of our world?

More importantly, they fail to realise that the strong anthropic principle was disproven long, LONG ago.

However, the weak anthropic principle is still up for grabs. Of course, it favors the atheistic view point instead of the theistic view that the strong anthropic principle would give.

Here to help you out. And I'm not mad at all.

After describing the many unique conditions that permit life to exist on earth, evolutionist C. F. A. Pantin, former professor of zoology at the University of Cambridge, England, admitted that “the operation of natural selection did not account for all the special features of the natural world.”

What kind of “special features”? Well, zoologist W. H. Thorpe has called a certain feature “one of the most surprising and disturbing jolts to evolutionary theory in recent times.” It is the unbelievable complexity of the gene—the microscopic unit within a living cell that determines what that particular plant or animal will be. Genes are complicated indeed! Like miniature computers, they store information and feed instructions to the cell. If all this information were written out in standard type, it would fill an encyclopedia of about 1,000 volumes!

What chance would there be for a complicated gene to originate by natural selection through “random mutations” over billions of years? “The chances are, then, still unimaginably small (10−415) that a proper DNA molecule would be produced in this time,” writes biologist Frank B. Salisbury in the scientific journal Nature. “Unimaginably small”! One chance out of 1 followed by 415 zeros!

How can we say that this world is getting better through natural selection? Look around you. Things are getting worse. Things are going from a state of order to disorder? The very evidence that you have used to prove evolution is flawed, how is it believable. Besides, anyone can use the theory you used, just insert the theory into the blank and there you have it, it is true. I could say that the teletubbes burped up this universe and that the evidence is that we are here, and everything is perfect, so this theory must be true.
Things seem to go along with Christianity better. God created a perfect world, man sinned, and today we live in a sin-cursed world that is going down-hill. The fact that things are getting WORSE is proof of this. We are here, and that is evidence that God created us, since there is no possible way that life can form aout of non-life.

Life as it is is founded on random chance. DNAs can remain dormant for millions of years before inserting itself in the gene pool. This explain why two healty people with no family history of deformaties can end up with a totally deformed child.

There is also the missing link between Neanderthals and present day humans. The population explosion of present day human form suggests some random mutation occured and in a relatively 'short' historical period.

But if you look around you, you can see these 'mutations' daily. There was a time when we have several tall people in the society. Today, being as tall as Shaq is a 'wonder' because the human form has become shorter.

With God all things are possible. We all have the choice to believe what we feel is the right answer. I respect that.
I do think that as far as any proof that we human need to prove there is God or there is evolution is not evidently humanly there for either of them. So, in our lives we search for the truth and we each think we have it. As for me, I am ready for God as how could you go wrong in that direction. Mistakes of the world? The only mistakes are of the world and just that by humans. Why do you think the world was wiped out once before and Noah and the Ark took place.? There is that proof thing again, whetehr we can prove it happend. Well, ponder this for a moment: do you have to "see" to believe---- or why woldnt you want to believe to see? I am going to be ready and am ready for God almighty and any proof that lies with me is the Bible. Evolution is a "theory" but that is my opinion as well as there is no proof on that end but I choose to believe in God as that is one to reap the rewards in the end, not evolution. Thanks for your views however as well as I respect that too.

I read a book by MIT physicist Seth Lloyd that says the universe could have only formed the way it is now out of random chance, atoms attaching themselves to each other over time. I don't think that our existence right now was necessarily pre-fabricated, but a result of trillions and trillions of random chances.

It's like setting a random number generator to give you a number between 1-1,000,000 and then being astounded at the number it gives you. "Wow, what are the odds that it would give the number 489,574?! Must be one in a million, that means someone had to be controlling the outcome!" Duh.

The various cosmological arguments amount to nothing more than arguments from incredulity. To speak of "probabilities" of events that are singular as far as we know, makes no sense.

Plenty of evidence AGAINST EVOLUTION:.
First, the 'Cambrian explosion'; the millions of fossil types in Cambrian rock (oldest fossil bearing rocks) appear suddenly and fully formed and without any previous forms...IOW, there are no transitional forms.

Most well educated evolutionists when forced to ...will admit it, but very unwillingly, and even then they always want to seem to make new excuses for it. Usually they just don't say anything about it and hope noone finds out.
