ok...so I know that dietary fiber is basically what keeps you fuller longer...but i've looked at some meal replacement bars lately and they are so-so on fiber but high in protein..which should i look for? I know both would be ideal but if one had to pick either, high fiber or high protein?

Try both at different times and see what one works for you

you need both. alot depends on how long it will be before you have a meal. If it is going to be a while, I'd go with protien, it takes longer to break down in the system and will maintain a level blood sugar, fiber won't.

tough call. you need adequate amounts of both in order to be healthy, but fiber and protein do very different things for your body.

do you have GI tract problems, like diverticulitis or a family history of colon cancer? if so, fiber is more important.

but if you have more problems like maintaining focus, energy, balanced mood, and strength, then protein is more important.

fiber is a lot healthier for you. to much protein is not good for your kidneys.
